Intracellular Nutritional Assessments | Atlanta Integrative & Internal Medicine

Nutritional assessments consist of an in-depth evaluation of both objective and subjective data related to an individual’s food and nutrient intake, lifestyle, and medical history. Once the data on an individual is collected and organized, the practitioner can assess and evaluate the nutritional status of that person.

Common Nutritional Assessments

  • Genova’s NutraEval

The NutrEval is an advanced diagnostic tool to guide nutritional assessments, often augmenting and speeding recovery of complex chronic conditions.

  • ION – Individual Optimal Nutrition

The ION profile is a combination of analytes that measure levels of organic acids, amino acids, fatty acids, nutrient and toxic elements, vitamins and antioxidants. A comprehensive overall health assessment tool from which a personalized custom vitamin/mineral and amino acid supplement can be formulated.

  • Mitochondrial Function – Organix Basic Test*

Helpful analysis to elucidate nutritional deficiencies and/or genetic impairments of energy production — most helpful for those with chronic fatigue, sleep abnormalities, mood disorders, weight problems, headaches, autoimmune and cancer. The test evaluates vitamin and mineral insufficiencies, amino acids such as carnitine and N-acetyl Cysteine, oxidative damage and detoxification, methylation sufficiency such as B12 and folate, lipoic acid CoQ10 sufficiency.

  • Customized Nutritional Supplements

The results of the ION test or the Organix test can be used to formulate a personalized vitamin and/or amino acid supplement. It may include lipoic acid, CoQ10, N-acetyl Cysteine, Glycine, and Carnitines as needed. Not only does this simplify your multiple supplementation needs and reduces the number and cost of individual supplements, it is scientifically measured to provide your specific needs. These are produced in three month supplies and the price varies depending on the ingredients.
